Tümosan is a  diesel engine manufacturer company in Turkey. They founded it in 1976 to manufacture motor drives and transmission organs, as well as other related equipment. They, however, focused their activities on the manufacturing of diesel engines and tractors. It holds the distinction of being Turkey's first manufacturer of diesel engines.

Tümosan has been producing diesel engines for Turkish tractors and highways for many years, in addition to supplying diesel engines to tractors manufactured under the same name. Moreover, Tümosan workers have a similar objective of producing high-quality products that satisfy all of their customers' expectations. Therefore, the company undergoes continual improvement in order to attain perfection.

Location

According to a Council of Ministers resolution, its center would be in Ankara to produce motor drive and transmission organs and related equipment. On June 23, 1976, Tümosan was founded with a capital of 100 million TL, with the involvement of Machinery and Chemical Industry Corporation (MKEK), Turkish Agricultural Equipment Corporation (TZDK), Şekerbank, Turkish Maritime Bank, State Industry and Workers Investment Bank. The existing business is a State Economic Enterprise (SOE).

Facility and Production Capacity

The company's headquarters are in Istanbul. They located the plant on an area of 1,600,000 square meters in Konya. Besides, the company produces engines and tractors, with a closed area of 93.000 square meters. For further, it ranks first among Turkey's major production plants, with an annual capacity of 75,000 engines and 45,000 tractors. Currently, the business manufactures tractors in 268 different types divided into 10 series and 25 major models.

In 2015, the firm extended its scope of operations and began producing and selling TÜMOSAN-branded agricultural equipment. Then,  TÜMOSAN continued its efforts in 2016 by extending its product line, bringing innovation to the industry with 19 agricultural equipment in 4 product areas and over 280 models.
