İmren is a Turkish delight producer in Turkiye. Its founder, Hidayet Sezer, was born in 1926 in Safranbolu. He graduated from primary school in 1938 and started his career as an apprentice of Helvacı Ahmet and Şekerci Abdi, who were considered the best masters of their time. He developed himself in this business in 4 years and got the journeyman's certificate in 1942 and opened İmren Turkish Delights. He started his business in a small shop in the marketplace in the old bazaar.
Ring candy, peppermint candy, crushed sugar, and coarse sugar are the varieties that can be produced under the conditions of that day. Later, he developed his business and started to manufacture Turkish delight, halva, and hard candy. In 1965, it broke new ground by producing and selling in a single workplace in the Kıranköy district. With the contribution of domestic tourism, which has been developing since the 1990s, and Safranbolu's acceptance as a world city, Turkish delights have taken their place in bags as sweet gifts that can be taken to friends.
