Eco-Friendly Approach of the Medcem

In addition, another important facility reflecting Medcem's environmentally friendly approach was established in Çorlu in 2015 as Turkey's first Solid Waste Incineration Facility. This facility converts the paper waste, sewage sludge, and other paper mill waste generated during Modern Karton's paper production process into energy, minimizing the environmental impact and contributing greatly to the regional economy. The facility has a total capacity of producing 27.6 MW/h of electricity or 100 tons/h of steam and adopts an environmentally friendly approach to waste disposal.
