Capacity of the Modern Karton

With its latest investments, Modern Karton has increased its annual production capacity to over 1 million tons and has positioned itself to export some of its production abroad, contributing to the country's economy.

Modern Karton, which is currently Turkey's largest corrugated cardboard paper producer, is also the largest consumer in the Turkish starch market. With this investment, not only will the starch needs of Modern Karton and Modern Ambalaj be met, but it is also aimed to take a big step towards environmentally friendly production by delivering starch directly to paper and packaging facilities in liquid form.

Modern Karton has increased its annual production capacity to 1,050,000 tons with its fifth paper facility, which was commissioned in 2015 with an investment of € 350 million.

With its increasing capacity, it is the largest paper producer in Turkey and among the largest in Europe.

Production Policies

Modern Karton Sanayi is one of the companies with the most advanced technology in the world in the paper industry, with its production technology and automation system in its facility built on an open area of 441,000 m² and a closed area of 138,000 m². Modern Karton, the leader of the sector in Turkey, carries out almost all of our country's corrugated cardboard paper exports on its own.

The facility, which uses 100% waste paper in its production, prevents the cutting down of 10 million mature trees annually.

The establishment is completely environmentally friendly with this feature and its $35 million treatment system.
