Çakartaş is a patterned tiles manufacturer in Turkey. Çakartaş was founded in 1950 as a small workshop in the Saraçhanebaşı District of Istanbul. It has been manufacturing patterned tiles since its inception. Currently, almost all products produced in the company where the 4th generation continues are imported. Suppliers or companies have no difficulty finding products because they always work with stock.
Today, the production of patterned floor tiles is still hand-made. Patterned floor tiles called karomozaic, karoçini, çinikaro, Rum tile, carosiman, motif tile, and colored tile are used in floor and wall coverings. Patterned tile, a production unique to Istanbul, continues to be produced for more than 60 years with Çakartaş company.
