Cemilzade is a confectionery manufacturing company in Turkey. It is in the top ten of Anatolia's leading confectionery manufacturers. The story of this brand, which has a long history, goes back to the 1880s. Founder Cemil Bey was born in 1867 in Şehzadebaşı and went down in history as 'Şekerci, Composer, Hafız and Udi'. He became a craftsman with a hand from a confectioner and made his first commercial venture of his life at the age of sixteen. He did not move away from the neighbourhood he knew well and opened his store called "Şekerci Cemil Bey" in 1883, opposite the Şehzade Mosque.
While counting the places of entertainment and pleasure in Şehzadebaşı, one should not forget the candy shop of Hafız Cemil Efendi. Confectioner Cemil Efendi, who pleases those fond of taste by presenting delicious jams and syrups to Ramadan every year, and candies and sweets to his feast, has also made a great effort this Ramadan Sharif.

Cemilzade brought his products to international fairs by sending his products to international fairs. Cemilzade's products received gold medals in the competitions he participated in in the Bordeaux and Naples fairs in 1906. In 1909, advertisements for the store operating at number 2. It is next to the Şehzadebaşı Feyziye Bazaar which began to appear in magazines. In the advertisements published in the magazine Şehbal, it was emphasized that the claim of Cemilzade products was "not to disturb the stomach after eating sweet desserts" and to nourish the body with food. The product range was also interesting: jam, sorbet, ice cream, candy, cake…
The brand took a short break from the market in 1985. When Fatma Hanım, a woman entrepreneur who attracted the attention of many newspapers, started to work, Satvet Bey went to the factory again. Then, their son Barış Cemiloğlu took over the Turkish delight boilers in the 2000s. Satvet Cemiloğlu, the granddaughter of Udi Cemil Bey, and his wife Fatma Cemiloğlu visited Cemilzade in 1995 in Selamiçeşme Cemil Topuzlu Street. Then, in 1997 on Şaşkınbakkal Bağdat Avenue, in February 2001 in Etiler, and in July 2010 in Nişantaşı. She gave the brand life again. Thus, the old tastes of Istanbul were able to reach Cemilzade's friends on the European side again. Cemilzade has been continuing its naturalness, taste, quality and tradition. Its journey has laid from Confectioner Udi Cemil Efendi to 4th Generation Barış Cemiloğlu, since 1883.
