Foundation Story

Ömer Matlı, the founder of Matlı Food Group, started his business life in 1965 by trading onions. Matlı is a food group operating to meet Turkey's protein needs. Ömer Matlı, who moved to animal trade and dairy farming in parallel with it in the early 1970s, entered the paddy business with his commercial reputation and accumulated capital brought by his success in these businesses. He stepped into industrialism from being a trader with the paddy factory he established in 1980.

Moreover, Ömer Matlı decided to produce animal feed in 1986. This investment decision made in 1988 by producing 10 tons of dairy and beef cattle feed per hour at the factory in Karacabey. In addition to this factory, he added the region's first modern corn drying facility in 1992.

Matlı Food Group carried its half a century of feed production experience to egg production. Thus, it started its egg production facility in April 2010. Today, Matlı Food Group is Turkey's 91st largest company as a Proyem company. It provides service with more than 600 employees, 500 dealers and nearly 3 thousand suppliers.
