Construction of the facilities began on 6 May 1972 on 34 acres of land within the industrial zone at the entrance to Edirne .

As the first investment, the continuous extraction plant established by “De Smet” Belgian company was opened on September 8, 1974. The capacity of the plant, which can process about 200 tons of sunflower seeds per day, was increased to 300 tons with the help of the pre-press plant, which was added later. In the early years, crude oil produced was mainly marketed to margarine producers, while sunflower pulp obtained as a by-product from extraction was marketed to feed factories and animal breeders in the region.

After the refinery unit was commissioned in 1978, edible refined and vinterized sunflower oil with the Olin brand was prepared untouched in automatic filling plants in different sizes from 1-liter plastic bottles to 18-liter cans and presented to the consumer. Production of refined corn oil in 1994, olive oil in 1999 and refined canola oil in 2008 was started and the product range was expanded.
