About the company

Maxion is a rim manufacturer company in Turkey.  Cevdet İnci founded Jantaş in 1968. The factory in Gaziemir began producing agriculture and light truck wheels in 1974.

Historically

Firstly, in 1979, the company started the manufacture of big truck wheels by introducing flow forming technology to Turkey, which was new even for Europe at the time. Moreover, Cevdet İnci's concept was registered as the first patent in the same year.

Jantaş became a significant manufacturer in the leading automotive market in 1990. They commissioned new lines to satisfy demand, increasing the manufacturing volume from 300,000 to 500,000 wheels.

The first collaboration was formed in 1992 when Lemmerz İnci was created with the German company Lemmerz to manufacture steel wheels for passenger cars and light commercial vehicles. In 1993, it began manufacturing in a new factory in the Manisa Organized Industrial Zone. Then, in 1996, Lemmerz joined forces with Jantaş to raise production to 800,000 units. Lemmerz Jantaş relocated to Manisa in 1997, where it built new assembly lines and a capacity of 1.500.000 parts.

Manufacturing

Maxion İnci and Maxion Jantaş are divisions of the world's largest wheel maker, Maxion Wheels and İnci Holding. The Group, with four factories in one location, is Europe's most oversized aluminium and sheet metal wheel maker, producing passenger cars, light commercial vehicles, and heavy commercial vehicles.

Maxion İnci Wheel Group's exports account for 72 per cent of its overall revenue, despite the fact that it will manufacture 8 million wheels in 2020 and hire 1700 employees. The company will begin to expand their capabilities and output volumes in 2021, with an emphasis on Industry 4.0 and digitalization, as well as automation and production-efficiency initiatives.
