Vinkara is a wine producer in Turkey. The story of Vinkara started with the land that the group bought in Kalecik, Ankara, in the '60s. In parallel with this initiative, Vinkara found life with the first vine planting of 89 decares in 2003-2004. Deciding to carry the centuries-old tradition in Kalecik to the future by developing it with more modern facilities, the company added an investment of 146 decares to the existing vineyard area in 2005. It increased the planted area to 235 decares.
In 2006, besides the first trial production of 250,000 litres, 149 decares of new vineyard area were allocated. They made the first harvest from their vineyards in 2008. Vinkara started to meet with consumers in the last quarter of 2009 through sales and marketing activities.
Today, Vinkara continues to produce wine with 620 acres of planted vineyards on a total of 800 decares of land. Vinkara gives priority to the development and cultivation of Anatolia's characteristic grapes Kalecik Karası, Öküzgözü, Boğazkere and Narince. In addition to these, Cabernet processes the world's grapes such as Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Riesling in its winery with an annual production capacity of over 1 million litre.
Our laboratory in our facility maintains the high quality of Vinkara at all times by controlling the production of grapes, their transformation into wine and their bottling. With the expertise of the Italian winemaker and oenologist Signor Marco Monchiero, who joined us in 2008, we aim to bring our wine to the world platform.
Vinkara is the current name of a centuries-old tradition that transforms grapes grown in Anatolian lands into quality wine. It produces in the plains with the same climatic characteristics as the grape regions where the world's quality wines are produced. Kalecik Karası, which is unique to Anatolia and has different aspects, processes Narince, Öküzgözü, Boğazkere grapes and many international grapes into wine. It aims to increase our daily life's joyful moments by bringing the wine to our tables quickly.
The Vinkara factory also has the laboratory facility to raise the quality bar by performing the analyses required at all stages of production, from the development of grapes to improving the strains, from bottling to ageing. In the laboratory, critical analyzes such as density, temperature, total acidity, volatile acid, malic acid test, alcohol and sugar are performed in all crucial points in the development of grapes, Brix, total acidity, maceration and fermentation. All materials and equipment that come into contact with wine are subjected to microbiological reliability tests.
