Çaykur is a tea manufacturer in Turkey. Tea cultivation in Turkey dates back to 1917. Tea cultivation was supported and encouraged in the first years to promote the economic and social development of the Black Sea region people located in the north of the country and to eliminate the social problems arising in this regard by minimizing migration traffic. In 1938, the first tea leaf harvest and dry tea were produced. The first tea factory was opened in Fener District in Rize in 1947.
