Helvacızade is a Turkish halva producer. Helvacızade; It started production by Hacı Mehmet Efendi in 1920 as a small halva shop. According to the teachings of Ahilik(master-apprentice), Eminönü was established at the Egyptian Bazaar Ketenciler Gate in İstanbul. In 1955, Hasan Yüksel, the son and apprentice of Hacı Mehmet Efendi, took over his father's profession and continued to produce desserts according to Turkish and Ottoman taste. In 1985, Hasan Yüksel, his sons İbrahim and Bekir Yüksel brothers raised Helvacızade with the teachings he received from his father and developed himself. Today, the 4th Generation; Brothers Ömer and Coşkun Nuri Yüksel are preparing Helvacızade for the future by combining these flavor techniques they inherited from their ancestors with modern technology.
Helvacızade, which continues its production activities in Bahçelievler today and its retail sales at 2 different points in Istanbul, offers the nostalgic flavors of nearly a century ago to the taste of its customers today. Currently, it has renewed all production machinery and equipment in a closed area of 4000m2 with the latest technology. Helvacızade further increases its production capacity and product quality. It continues to produce halva, tahini, molasses, jam, honey, Turkish delight, rock candy, croquant, and traditional Turkish desserts without letting them lose their traditional flavors.
