Penti is a women's textile manufacturer in Turkey. Its story began in 1950 with two separate companies founded by brothers Mois and Yasef Kariyo. In this period when industrialization was limited in our country, the joining of two entrepreneurial brothers under one roof was an important turning point. The brand, which took the name Teacher Socks in 1970, continued to develop with the first production facility established in Istanbul Bayrampasa a year later. The change of the brand name to Teacher Socks was based on the fact that teachers generally preferred thin women's socks in Turkey at that time.

When came to the 1980s, Sami Kariyo, the second-generation representative of the family, moved to the captain's cabin of the brand. Focusing on the needs of urban women, the brand further reinforced its production approach that attaches importance to color, pattern, variety, and quality. Thus, on the one hand, it strengthened its position in the market, on the other hand, it reached the final stage of the branding process in 1984 and took the name Penti.

Penti renews its collections in line with the pace of change in fashion trends. Penti has completely different collections for women, men, and youth. Ma Vie Privée, Penti Young, and Penti Men, who have grown up with the brand, are aimed at more adult women, men, and young consumers.
