Ytong brings warmth
Manufactured from lime, cement, and sand, composed of 50% tiny petrified air cells, Ytong has unique and remarkable characteristics in terms of thermal insulation, heat accumulation, moisture insensitivity, and fire resistance. Ytong is both a carrier and an insulator. The presence of additional insulation is superfluous with Low Energy blocks. 1) Thermal insulation

History
Ytong – almost a century
Aerated concrete was developed almost a century ago, in 1923, by the Swedish researcher and architect J.A. Eriksson. He was looking for a building material that had the same valuable properties as wood (with the same insulation values, strength, and machinability), without the disadvantages (flammability and instability). The first production was launched in 1929 in Yxhult, Sweden, in collaboration with the entrepreneur Carl August Carlén, at a time when materials were in short supply and energy laws were strict. The original name “Yxhults Anghärdade Gasbetong” was the first registered trademark in the construction industry. Aerated concrete then began its worldwide career under the name of Ytong.
